  23. This is true, if you are knowledgeable enough, and want to go to the time 
  24. of using the other tools, getting the shell commands from Aminet, etc.

  26. I have Zip Tools and really like it.  I do not have to wonder if I am 
  27. formating something correctly, with RDB's etc.  You just hit CTRL-ALT-Z 
  28. and the ZipTools requester comes up with both the PC and Amiga options 
  29. ready to be acted on.  I just click on whichever format I want that disk, 
  30. and click on "format".  It takes 5 or 6 minutes, but then the Zip is 
  31. ready to use, RDB's or whatever all taken care of.

  33. The other nice thing about them is the selections from the same requester 
  34. to write protect the disk.  For my Zips with hard drive back-ups on them, 
  35. I chose Write Protected, to avoid accidental erasures, etc, and hopefully 
  36. viruses also.  Then, when I want to update those disks, I choose 
  37. "Unprotect until Eject", and I can update the disk, with the Write 
  38. Protection set automatically when I eject it.

  40. I could do all of this with free utilities etc., I just like the 
  41. convenience and reliablility of ZipTools. Also, it is easier to format an 
  42. IBM Zip disk with these tools than with the tools available on the Mac, 
  43. according to my brother.
